John Snelson is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, an Australian CPA, and a specialist in strategic management accounting, cost accounting, activity based funding regimes and public service obligations.
For more than 20 years, John worked as a Partner and Management Consultant with Ernst & Young. He has worked on the corporatisation of utilities, railways, water, ferries, electricity, telecommunications, post, buses and defence - in Australia, India and Indonesia.
In particular, John has worked extensively on the identification and measurement of CSOs in transport and hospital industries. This work has culminated in creating the funding mechanisms in other countries for driving efficiency and sharing of costs in federated systems.
In 1996, John was the keynote speaker at The Economist International CFO Conference in Manila.
